POSITION SUMMARY:

Support Staff at our residential treatment program is responsible for performing advanced indirect and selected direct client care duties in support of the rehab process in a competent manner under the direction of Program Director.

Job Type: Full Time Pay: $22-$25

Work Location: Galt CA


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees and assists clients with everyday life skills such as cleaning, cooking, practicing coping skills,
  • Perform household duties such as cooking and
  • Ensures that the environment of care adheres to the safe care of the clients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Engages with each client daily and documents interactions in shift/incident
  • Observe Client Self-administration of
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to high volumes of stress.
  • Uphold and enforce L.O.M. Substance Abuse Programs standards, policies and procedures, client rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct.
  • Facilitate groups (when applicable)
  • Ability to learn, utilize and navigate
  • Address client’s inappropriate
  • Document client Prepare documentation accurately and within time frames.
  • Intervene during crisis
  • Participate in the agency’s Orientation training, staff meetings, and in-service
  • Adhere to code of ethics, legal aspects of practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures, exercise professionalism at all times.
  • Exercise awareness in cultural competency, client satisfaction, quality of services, client needs, and overall health and safety staff and clients.
  • Maintain a high degree of self-awareness and the ability to stay calm under
  • Utilizes trauma-informed care while applying crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and supervision of the
  • Seeks consultation when encountering new and/or high-risk
  • Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team and communicates any concerns to immediate supervisor


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years
  • Current American Red Cross Adult First Aid, CPR Completion Certificate or agree to complete before start
  • Must provide documentation of a TB test within the last
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license and have a clean driving
  • License Required: Valid California Driver’s License – Class
  • Travel: Willingness to travel: 25% of
  • HS graduate or equivalent
  • Previous experience in substance abuse counseling field, instruction/internship, or similar practicum through education or certification process highly preferred.
  • Prior knowledge/experience with MAT (medication assisted treatment) highly
  • Knowledge of industry standards related to the position of Support


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 40
  • Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.
